A small room, a fine piano, and very little between you and the players. From any seat in the house you can hear the brushes move across the snare.
We'd suggest arriving early. The room is an intimate one, and the seats nearest the music are always the first to go.
Who's Playing
Doors open at six.
The programme runs the width of the music — straight-ahead jazz and blues one night, soul and funk the next, with hot-club swing, Brazilian bossa nova and the occasional jazz-harp set in between. Most weeks bring a different small group, and the players travel from across the UK and beyond to play the room. It's always worth a look before you plan your evening: the room is a small one, and a good night tends to fill it. Tickets for each show are listed below and sold through Eventbrite.

We're in Whitchurch, a short way north of Cardiff city centre and easy to reach by bus or a quick taxi from town. Tickets for most shows are sold ahead of the night through Eventbrite — follow the Tickets link at the top of the page — while the bar stays open to walk-ins whenever there's music on.
Tables are first come, first served — we don't take reservations. Arrive early on a busy night and you'll be looked after.
